Getting better

Posted in Matt's Status at 1:31 pm by D-Day

Walking around quite a bit. Off of the Oxycodone. Able to stay awake a bit better, now. Back swelling is going down some (doesn't look like my round belly anymore; you can tell it's my back).

Built an extraordinary log cabin the other day, so the poo fairy is still visiting periodically. He's pretty hot, too.

Doing alright

Posted in Matt's Status at 10:10 am by D-Day

Pain is still a factor. However, I am doing alright. I have some attained the ability to pass out at the drop of a hat. I woke up w/ my torso at about a 90° angle in a desk chair the other day.  That's always fun.

For those who held concern on the topic:  the doo fairy came and tapped me on the noggin with his magic wand.  Actually, he brought a crew of his boys and they beat me down w/ their magic wands.  I have no problem in the doo dept now.  (For those of you who do not know, Oxyconton can cause the recipient's digestive system to hibernate).

That's it for now...  Big Matt -- out

Howdy

Well, I made it through surgery, as far as I can tell. As for the pain I was hearing about? Daahhh! It's not that bad. I am able to take shallow breaths between the back-muscle contractions. It's great, so far.

Actually, I am doing pretty well. The [oodles of] pain medicine help manage the pain, and my sister is caring for me like I was her own family or something. How great of her.

Price has also been instrumental in making the transition from some-pain to ultra-pain a smooth one. (She has also been a great source of pain.)

There will be some super-cool pictures to come. However, I only have a handful of the very gorey ones yet. So, it will be a bit before the real meaty material comes. I'll try to put some tasty pictures up in the near future, and do something about the header on this blog's style.
